Our African Land Snails – One Year Later
Last year, the majority of the schools in Aletheia Academies Trust were gifted African Land Snails.
Here at Halling, we named our snails Turbo and Sloth, and after around a year of having them they are continuing to thrive. Special thanks to Mrs Stephen for all her support in raising them from their 1cm size to just over 10cm now.
They have been looked after by Alpacas Class Y6.
The children have been feeding Turbo and Sloth, lettuce, cabbage, and mealworms as well as enjoying egg shells and cuttlefish to help strengthen their shells.
Inside their tank we provide them with potting plant houses as well as twigs, plastic trees and a water bowl.
