Parent's Forum
HOW WILL THE FORUM WORK?
The aim of this initiative is to enhance communication between parents/carers and
school; the forum will represent the collective voice of parents in discussion with
the school’s leadership team (including representatives of the Governing Body).
Meetings will offer an opportunity for parents to: ask questions; share views about
issues that affect the children’s experience at school; become more knowledgeable
about the workings of the school and school policy; help to make decisions that will
benefit the whole school community. Please note, the forum is not intended to
address any issues related to individual pupils: if you have any concerns about your
child, please make an appointment through the school office.
There is a commitment to attend meetings approximately five times each year. The agenda will be agreed in advance with input from the parent representatives. Meetings will be minuted and published on the school website.
WHO CAN BE A REPRESENTATIVE?
Any parent or carer can put themselves forward. We hope to have two volunteers from each year group.
HOW CAN I PUT MY NAME FORWARD?
If you would like to take part in the forum and you are able to make the dates and times listed
below, please complete the attached form and pass it to the school office by Friday 8th December.
WHAT HAPPENS ONCE I HAVE COMPLETED THE FORM?
In the event of there being more than two volunteers from any one year group, we will simply draw
names out of a hat. All volunteers will be informed of the outcome by letter by 15th December.
