Pupil Premium

The PPG (Pupil Premium Grant) is money provided to schools by the government to focus on:

  • raising the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and closing the gap with their peers

  • supporting children and young people with parents in the regular armed forces

Schools receive Pupil Premium funding to support the learning of pupils who are entitled to FSM (Free School Meals). This funding continues for a further 6 years, even if the child is no longer entitled to receive free school meals.
