Your class teacher this year will be Miss Dilallo and your teaching assistant will be Mrs Hancock.

We are both extremely excited to be working with you this year and are hoping to be able to plan lots of fantastic learning opportunities for the year ahead which we are sure that you will enjoy!

Things will continue to be slightly different to begin with, but we will work together to ensure that they are as smooth as can be.

One of the changes will be our staggered start and drop off times (this is to ensure we do not mix bubbles). You will be dropped off at 8.45am at the main gate. Either myself or Miss Leese (New Zealand’s class teacher) will be waiting for you.

Throughout the day, you will be washing your hands regularly to help fight Covid.

Instead of sitting in groups, you will be sitting in rows (also another strategy to help beat Covid).

When it is our P.E. day you will be required to attend school in your P.E. kit, so you do not have to get changed. For our class, that will be every Monday. Remember, you must wear black jogging bottoms/ leggings, black trainers and a white t-shirt.

We will have break and lunch in our year group bubbles to ensure that we are not mixing in large groups. Our break time will be 10.45-11am and our lunch time will be 12.15-1.15 pm.

You will then be collected from the same gate at 3.15pm.

I’m sure you will get used to our new routine very quickly and will work hard to help keep everyone safe.

Starting a new year is always an anxious time, myself and Miss Leese are also new to Year 4 so we will get through it together! If ever you feel worried or need to talk, we are always here to listen and support!
