Welcome to Venezuela Class!

Mrs Nott and Mrs Camies will be your teachers this year (Mrs Camies on a Monday and Mrs Nott from Tuesday through to Friday) – we are both SO excited to be teaching Year 6 and can’t wait to see all the progress you make throughout the year, both in your work and your personal development.

We have lots of fun things planned, as well as lots and lots of hard work, but remember, the most important thing is the positive attitude that we all bring to class every day.  To start off with, things will be a little different (see below) but it won’t take us long to get used to it and we will all work together to help each other and support everyone in our Year 6 bubble.

One of the changes will be our staggered start and drop off times (this is to ensure we do not mix bubbles). You will be dropped off at 9am at the Year 6 block gate and picked up at 3.30pm in the same place.  Either Mrs Mauldon, Mrs Nott, Mrs Jones or Mrs Camies will be waiting for you.

Throughout the day, you will be washing your hands regularly to help fight Covid.

Instead of sitting in groups, you will be sitting in rows (also another strategy to help beat Covid).

During P.E. days, you will be required to attend school in your P.E. kit, so you do not have to get changed. For our class, that will be every Wednesday. Remember, you must wear black jogging bottoms/ leggings, black trainers, a white t-shirt and a black hoodie or sweatshirt.

We will have break and lunch in our year group bubbles to ensure that we are not mixing in large groups. Our break time will be 11.00am and our lunch time will be 12.30pm

Starting a new year can be an anxious time for some but also an exciting time for everyone.  It is a chance for a fresh start; a chance to become the learner and person you want to be for your final year of Primary School.  Bring your best attitude and you won’t fail to have a really great year.  Let’s do our personal best and encourage others to do the same and remember: if ever you feel worried/ need to talk, we are ALWAYS here to listen and support!
