Welcome to Ducklings Class in EYFS

In Ducklings Class, we love having fun whilst instilling a love of learning. We teach the Early Years curriculum through a range of exciting and engaging texts and topics, with the Early Learning Goals supporting the framework of our curriculum. Children engage weekly with Forest School to develop outdoor learning skills, support well-being and develop pupil resilience.

In addition, we follow the national curriculum statutory framework for EYFS.

Our Aims at EYFS

  • That children access a broad and balanced curriculum that gives them the broad range of knowledge and skills needed for good progress through school and life
  • Quality and consistency in teaching and learning so that every child makes good progress and no child gets left behind
  • A close working partnership between staff and parents and/or carers
  • Every child is included and supported through equality of opportunity and antidiscriminatory practice

Timetable

Our timetable can be downloaded below. Here, parents and pupils have the opportunity to view the class schedule to see the day-to-day routine including the range of curriculum that is covered. We have found that children with SEND have responded well to visually seeing the structure of the day ahead.
